October - SHOES - Take a stand against cancer in your favorite shoes!!! All photos submitted in October will help raise funds to be donated to cancer research. Thanks to the sponsors for making that possible! Submit your photos of shoes and help take a stand against Cancer!
September - LEARNING - It's back to school time for the kids! Whether yours are grown up and out of the house or still little it's learning time for YOU too! Share a photo of what you are learning to do! Are you learning to knit, sew, take better photos? Are you learning a new skill, hobby, or attribute like patience? Make it a fun month of sharing what you are learning about!
August - PHOTO CHALLENGE - 31 days of capturing moments, life and objects through the lens! A new theme or challenge each day. See 31 photos I have taken and also submit YOURS for a particular day to be featured and shared.
July - ENJOYING SUMMER - "OH what do you do in the Summertime when all the world is green?" Are you traveling, relaxing, playing, swimming, hiking, camping, sipping lemonade on the porch, catching fireflies, relaxing in the sun, reading, going to a drive in movie, etc. Submit a snapshot of 1 moment you have capture this summer and share it!
June - DAY JOB
-A commonly asked question "What do you do?" Here is a time when "labels" can be placed on us or we can place them on ourselves. And all labels aren't bad. This is a time that we have to choose a category or a word to tell people what we do. SO - What's your profession? Are you a stay at home mom? Are you a nurse? Are you a business owner? are you a photographer, secretary, crosswalk guard, etc? Are you several of those things? pick one to highlight and snap a photo of yourself.
May - MOTHER
-With Mother's day this month it should be easy to capture YOU as a mother. Yup, I said you. And because we are usually behind the camera, I am "challenging" you to step in front of it and capture yourself. You could be with your children or without. You could be captured in a "real mommy" moment or poised and perfect as June Cleaver or with YOUR own mother.
April - ME
-Declare it - "I am ME!" What is it that you love about yourself? Yes it's ok to love yourself. You'd better, because you are with yourself 24 hours a day. Do you love your eyes, your freckles, your wiry hair? Do you love your hands, your build, your nose, your coloring? Do you love the way your accessorize or dress? Are you bold, shy, loud, brave, happy, quiet? It's great to be YOU, now share it...
March - SURVIVOR
- We all have survived something. From a bad day, to childbirth, maybe even raising a teenager. Or maybe your survival story runs deeper. Are you a survivor of loss, death or illness? Are you survivor of an accident or a life altering event? Share your strength and story this month.
February - LOVE
- Share photos of people in your life embracing, holding hands,exchanging a kiss, a head on a shoulder, etc. If you want to get really creative, send photos of hearts that you find or create in everyday life. example - buttons forming a heart, a leaf that looks like a heart, etc. Share the love this month!
